About Craig Fell
Over the past 11 years, I have built my career as an educator with Prince William County Schools in Northern Virginia, where I taught more than seven mathematics courses across grades 8 through 12. From the beginning, I have been driven by a passion for helping others reach those meaningful “a-ha” moments, when complex ideas click and confidence follows.
My experience spans diverse categories of learners, including English Learners, Exceptional Education students, and economically disadvantaged families. These opportunities have shaped my ability to design and deliver instruction that is accessible, engaging, and responsive to varied learner needs. I bring a learner-centered mindset to every project, grounded in a deep understanding of how people process information, build skills, and stay motivated.
In addition to the classroom, I spent 10 years coaching pole vault, guiding athletes through both technical skill development and mental growth while quite literally teaching them “how to fly.” During that time, I coached more than a dozen state finalists. This experience reinforced one of my core professional beliefs: strong relationships are the foundation of effective learning. When learners feel seen, supported, and connected, they are capable of achieving far more than they initially believe.
As I transition into instructional design and training, I bring strengths in curriculum development, performance-focused learning design, and the ability to translate complex content into clear, actionable learning experiences. I am especially passionate about creating solutions that not only inform but drive measurable results, whether through improved performance, increased engagement, or meaningful behavior change. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you on how I can utilize these skills to better your company.
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife, Amy, and our two sons, Max and Sam. We are always looking for our next adventure, usually involving a new donut shop, ice cream spot, or playground. I also enjoy traveling and have visited 16 countries, including a memorable experience teaching English in Switzerland. One of my personal goals is to visit all 50 states before turning 50; just nine more to go!
